The Latest

AHH! It's 2015 now. It'll take me a while to get used to that date. I'm sure everybody has New Years Resolutions that they may or may intend to keep! Here are mine:
I'm hoping that at the end of the year I can look back at these and tick them all off. :D
Originally I had no plans for New Years Eve but then my boyfriends family were going to a party at a hotel so we ended up going out which was very nice. I had the usual dilemma of what to wear and wanted to wear something with sequins but they just didn't look right on.
During the day i'd been told by a homeless man 'nice legs, shame about the face' so I decided to put a little extra effort in with my makeup!
Ever since watching Helen Anderson's Get ready with me earlier in the year, I have been addicted to Loreal's True Match minerals powder foundation in Golden Ivory. It goes on like a dream and matches my skin perfectly while lasting all day! I also ended up going for a red lip in the end.
I loved my outfit that I eventually decided on: (click on brand for link)

I loved wearing the outfit! The skirt was amazing on :)
I hope you all had an amazing new years eve and have a great start to 2015!

I'm back! Apologies for the abscence but I've made blogging into one of my New Years Resolutions so I promise to be better in 2015!
What better way to get back into the blogging spirit than a Christmas post? I had SUCH a good Crimbo and am now about a stone heavier due to turkey, roast tatties and chocolate...
Every year me, my little bro and my sister have our photos done around the Christmas tree, we get bored of posing nicely though so choas usually ensues.
Hopefully everyone had as merry a Christmas as I did and is looking forward to starting another year :)

Eeek! I was so excited on the weekend to dress up as WonderWoman! It was for a birthday party and i've alwayyyyys wanted to be WW. She's just so cool, she whoops butt, is strong and wears all the right things.
I had a browse around some costumes online and they were either pretty unflattering or ridiculously baring, I then found this which was both form fitting and fun without showing too much. I bought it from here
I ended up wearing black tights underneath as I was scared i'd flash everyone as the skirt is elasticated and kept sliding around (I didn't feel too bad about it though a Kimmy K wore black tights under her costume when she was WonderWoman too!) I finished my costume off with some red courts from New Look as I couldn't justify paying another £40 for boots!
Overall the costume was really impressive, I had everything I needed and sizes were true to the website. It's just a shame I can't be WonderWoman every day!
Did anyone else dress up over the weekend?

Told you I'd be back! This was my OOTD yesterday. I've been DYING to wear my Rock on Ruby jumpers since I got them but it's just not been cold enough! So I bit the bullet anyway and wore one :)
On IG, R.O.R had asked for slogan suggestions for their Christmas jumpers range, as I had made a contribution they VERY kindly sent me a 10% off code, which, naturally, I used on their Christmas jumpers! I bought this one which reads 'The Cold Never Bothered Me Anyway' and another amazeballs one which is 'Do you want to build a snowman?' (I'm saving this one for nearer crimbo!)
Not only do Rock on Ruby have a fun range of Xmas jumpers, but also a fantastic range of customizable slogan tees, bags, everything AND you can design your own if you have something in mind! They're super popular on IG and really good quality products.
The jumper is fleecy feeling inside so the cold really doesn't bother me in it! It's nice and baggy (I bought a large and it completely covers my bottom!) and I rolled the sleeves up for a bit of a 'cool' vibe.
I styled it with my mom jeans (which I hate NOT wearing although I look huge in them!) boyfriend's Fenchurch plimsolls as they were grey, some gold jewellery and (not in pics) a chunky black belt. I felt quite 80's/90's and also a massive geek which I loved!
Hope you like it and go and check Rock on Ruby out, i'll definitely be buying more from them in the future!

Starting with another apology. My work has been keeping me a bit busier and I've been spending time seeing family and things recently so I haven't had blogging at the forefront of my mind. I will be getting back into it over the week, andddd I have my WonderWoman costume to blog about over the weekend which I am SUPER happy about!!!
So stay with me please :)

                                                               X Jess X
First of all I apologise to anyone that reads my blog regularly (if there is anyone!) for the lack of posting recently. I've been super busy and just not had much time.
However, today I decided to wear my fabulous printed jumper from:
http://alicetakesatrip.bigcartel.com/
I bought this in my super haul (see previous posts) and it's not been cold enough to wear, but I decided that I didn't care anymore and wore it anyway. I felt SUPER 80's in it, especially as I paired it with my fave ripped mom jeans. So I added a modern twist with my lion head necklace and leopard skate shoes. (I guess I ended up like a zoo...)
I also had a couple of statement rings on from New Look but you can't see them in the pictures! I finalized the look with a slick of BRIGHT pink lipstick from Toppers :)
Hope you like it!

Okay first product review from my Glamour Beauty Box (http://jessdisney90.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/2014) and it's the Eyeko 'Mascara Off' makeup wipes. There are only 10 in a pack so you'd either have to stock up or choose wisely and you can buy them here: http://www.eyeko.com/eyeko-mascara-off
The product is oil based and is specifically designed to take off eye makeup, in particular mascara. They're fairly small sized wipes as well so definitely don't waste the back!
Firstly, I don't wear a LOT of mascara, just enough to make a difference, but I do wear Benefit's 'They're Real' which is a buggar to remove so I wondered if these would be a bit better at the task than others!
The packet said to hold the wipe onto the eye for 5-10 seconds for the oil to do its thing, which I did, and then I wiped carefully along my eye and over my top and bottom lashes. As you can see from the picture of the wipe it takes a lot off! They're really soft and gentle on eyes so it doesn't feel like you're scrubbing your lashes off either :)
The last picture shows what they look like afterwards.
There are 2 issues that I have with the wipes:
1) The amount in the packet. If you wear mascara all the time then you'll go through these ridiculously quickly and they aren't cheap!
2) They didn't take ALL of my mascara off :S I got out of the bath and still had residue and woke up this morning with some under my eyes too! I'm not sure if it's just because my mascara is such a toughie to remove though. However, again, for the price and quantity if there's still mascara left it's a lot to spend!
Have you used these before? What did you think?
